The Research Fellow will design and implement optical and electronic systems for the control of laser beams for a few applications. The primary project will explore beam stabilization techniques for optical lattices for quantum sensing. Another project requires frequency-stabilized laser beams for the cooling and trapping of atomic lithium, with frequency and intensity control.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in Physics or Optical Engineering, and at least 5 years of relevant research experience. They will have experience with lasers and optical systems, and a familiarity with optics simulation software is preferred.
