As such, we have an opportunity to join our Information Services Department (IS) as an IT Service Delivery Lead to ensure the effective and reliable delivery of interconnected services across our service catalogue and improve systems and services for the University, students, and customers.

The Role:

As someone with considerable experience in Systems Admin or Systems Development, this role will be a natural progression for you, allowing you to use your accrued knowledge to advise on and make significant changes to our existing systems, and get involved in implementing positive changes across the University IT infrastructure.

You will have the opportunity to use your experience of streamlining processes and implementing system improvements to contribute to the University’s evolving enterprise architecture improvement processes, including supporting, developing, integrating and enhancing the University’s Corporate Systems portfolio, including, but not limited to, Agresso (ERP Finance), WPM (Online Payments), iTrent (HR, Payroll, recruitment), Planon (IWMS), Trend (BMS), Kinetic Solutions (Accommodation MS), XN Leisure (Sports MS).

You will also be in a position to use your experience of the development life cycle (including requirements gathering, solution design, system testing and implementation) to lead and participate in IS service development projects and take control of implementing innovative system changes across the University.

The role will offer you a high degree of autonomy in order to achieve this, which will see you liaising with staff at all levels across the University and working proactively with multiple stakeholders to provide expert help and advice on development and support issues to best serve their needs and meet strategic objectives.

What we will need from you:

  • A degree in IT related discipline or demonstrable relevant systems experience
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing new business processes to deal with new working practices
  • Experience in streamlining processes and contributing to system improvements
  • Experience working with intersystem interfaces to support the production of service design documents
  • Testing (IST/UAT) and report writing (applications) experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in building relationships with infrastructure, business, and projects team to help co-ordinate developments
