Digital Learning Technologist – REQ002032

Part time, 0.6 FTE (21 hours per week)

 

The School of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to recruit a Digital Learning Technologist who will assist academic colleagues to develop digitally enhanced learning, supporting (re-)design, development, delivery, and review of programmes to provide flexible delivery through blended and online approaches. This will include supporting the appropriate use of learning technology systems (eg. Moodle, Aula, Office 365, Turnitin). 

The post holder will readily embrace change and have a genuine passion for continuous improvement. They will actively promote the use of current and emerging online learning tools in accordance with the programmes’ frameworks & objectives. Working collaboratively with academics and relevant professional services colleagues, the postholder will create effective and engaging digital learning.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and will have demonstrable experience in supporting the use of technology in education. An excellent understanding of digital learning design, as well as how to integrate online and face-to-face delivery by re-designing learning and assessment activities, is essential.

Excellent written, verbal and online communication skills are essential, as is the ability to explain technical details in a non-technical manner to academic colleagues. A flexible and adaptable approach to work is crucial with the ability to work in a team environment, supporting colleagues and sharing expertise.

This post will be based at either Paisley or Lanarkshire campus, depending on the preference of the successful candidate, however, all colleagues may be required to work at any UWS campus or location from time to time to meet needs of the business. A hybrid model of on campus and remote working is currently in place.
