To help us realise Vision 2028 we are now looking for an Events Officer to join our External Relations team to manage the preparation and delivery of a comprehensive corporate events and engagement programme including those targeting staff, student, and wider community. This exciting and varied role will see you working with key stakeholders to support the delivery of the annual event calendar in line with the defined engagement strategies to enhance UEL’s reputation and brand. This role, among other things, will specifically focus on the delivery of the graduation ceremonies held twice a year.
We are looking for an individual with solid experience of event delivery, who is a creative thinker, with excellent communications skills and able to build positive relations with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Staying calm under pressure and being used to delivering to demanding deadlines will come naturally to you. What's more, you're willing to work some long days, evenings, and weekends (with agreed time off in lieu) to get the job done.
The University of East London is a vibrant and diverse university located in Stratford and Docklands. We are implementing our Vision 2028 strategy to transform our curriculum and partnerships to make a positive difference to student, graduate, and community success. Our goal is to become the leading careers-focused, enterprising university in the UK, one which both prepares our students for the jobs of the future and provides the innovation to drive that future sustainably and inclusively. Our pioneering and forward-thinking vision is making a positive and significant impact on the communities we serve, inspiring both our staff and students to reach their full potential. Join us and #BeTheChange.
Born in 1898 to serve the skills needs of the 2nd industrial revolution, the University of East London is underway with its transformational 10-year Vision 2028 strategic plan led by our Vice-Chancellor & President, Professor Amanda Broderick, to advance Industry 4.0 careers-1st education. We have a clear route-map to provide a springboard for the jobs and opportunities of the future; drive diversity in the 4.0 talent pipeline - working in partnership to promote talent wherever it is found; and to create an inclusive and sustainable, green future.
