The Position

This is a key role for an experienced technician to manage the new Mineralogical Facility within the Research School of Earth Sciences. The successful candidate will provide high-level support to laboratory operations, technical and research operations, and a collection of state-of-the-art instrumentation including a Horiba LabRAM Soleil Raman FTIR spectroscope, Molecular Vista VistaScope infrared photo-induced force microscope, Olympus Vanta M portable x-ray fluorescence spectrometer and Malvern Panalytical Aeris benchtop XRD.

This position will based in the Geochemical Instrument Operations Team within Research School of Earth Sciences (RSES). RSES is Australia’s leading academic research institution for Earth and Marine Sciences, and ranked 14th in the world for Earth and Marine Sciences (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022).
