An exciting opportunity is available for a researcher to join the behavioural science group within the Primary Care Research Centre to develop a digital intervention to support carers of people with Parkinson’s and cognitive impairment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for adapting an established digital behavioural intervention developed by the World Health Organization (https://www.who.int/publications/i/item/9789241515863) following the Person-Based Approach to intervention development, including carrying out a rapid scoping review of the literature, qualitative research, developing intervention content, and working closely with digital content developers.
Applicants will have a PhD in health or social research or related discipline, or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in relevant discipline (e.g. psychology) and experience of qualitative research. Experience of working with carers or people with long-term conditions, developing digital health interventions, and the person-based approach to intervention development is desirable. Successful applicants will have demonstrated their ability to work independently and efficiently in a research context and will have excellent written English skills with meticulous attention to detail.
The post is fixed term for 12 months and will be offered 0.8fte part-time or as a job share from 1st June 2023.
