Research Assistant

Job Description

We are currently in need of an experienced Data Scientist. The ideal candidate is expected to work with Data Science team to liaise with different users and maintain conformity in implementations. He/she will be responsible for building scalable big data platforms, and large-scale processing systems that enable advanced analytics and support data teams across the enterprise.

Minimum Qualification

BSc. in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized university. Knowledge of working with Big Data platforms and developing data mining models and analytics solutions.

Preferred Qualification

• MSc. in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized university.

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience

• Programming experience particularly in Python
• Experience in developing advanced machine learning models (e.g., deep learning, NLP, Computer Vision)
• Proven experience in related technology such as cloud computing, distributed systems, Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, etc.
• Proven experience in developing successful dynamic websites, tools, and web services.
• Experience in dealing with biological and healthcare data.
