Research Assistant (Department of Paediatrics)

Job Description

We invite applications for a research assistant/associate with background or experience in molecular biology, genetics and bioinformatics. The successful candidate will support a multi-disciplinary team to design and carry out experiments, conduct literature searches, data, write reports and papers, support lab administration, etc.

Qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor’s (honours) degree in either life sciences, biotechnology genomics, human genetics, cell biology, bioinformatics or related areas
• Must have a strong understanding of genetics and familiarity with bioinformatics tools for genome analysis
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate well and work in a team
• Experience in genomics, particularly mRNA and next-gen sequencing, would be an advantage
