Divisional Coordinator – REQ002030
The School of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to recruit an experienced and highly organised Divisional Co-ordinator to become a key member of the School’s Professional Support Team based at Paisley Campus.
In this busy role as Divisional Co-ordinator, you will provide a high level of administrative support to academic staff and students across the Division, primarily based at Paisley Campus.
The post holder will have responsibility for key areas within the Division such as programme set-up and maintenance; online enrolment set up including managing student enrolment queries; School Assessment Board and Board of Examiners management and organisation; external examiners; module and programme amendments; Institution Led Reviews/Programme Approvals; and student enquiries. The post holder will also be Committee Secretary to the Divisional Programme Board.
The post is integral to the smooth running of administrative processes in the Division within the School, whilst also providing additional support to other Divisions within the School as required at peak periods of the academic year.
You will be educated to HND level or have equivalent relevant experience and have experience of working in administration, ideally within education and a customer focused environment. Proficiency in IT and Microsoft applications is essential, as is experience of servicing meetings. Experience of supporting board/committee meetings is desirable.
You will have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with staff and students on all levels. In addition, you will possess excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to plan under your own initiative and work to specific deadlines and conflicting priorities. A flexible and adaptable approach to work is crucial with the ability to work in a team environment, supporting colleagues and sharing expertise.
This post will be based at the Paisley Campus, however, Divisional Co-ordinators may be required to work at any UWS campuses from time to time to meet needs of the business. The team are currently working a hybrid model of on campus and remotely.
