UCD Registry
UCD Registry comprises five units: Customer & Curriculum Operations, Fees & Data Management, Assessment, Student Recruitment, and Admissions, and the Office of the Director of Registry. Full details are available at: http://www.ucd.ie/registry. UCD Registry is evolving structurally in line with the University's overall strategic developments and is a dynamic, flexible and responsive unit.
Customer & Curriculum Operations
Customer & Curriculum Operations is comprised of the following areas: the Student Desk, Conferring Unit, Curriculum & College Liaison; and Business Support. The key objective of the Customer & Curriculum Operations Unit is to deliver joined-up, efficient, clearly defined, and well supported services to students, our colleagues across the university, and our many stakeholders. We do this with an approach, focused on our customers and their needs, which seeks to simplify and make less onerous the administrative businesses we support and create a positive and rewarding environment for our unit's staff. Customer & Curriculum Operations is therefore a multi-skilled, cross functional group which has both deep expertise in certain areas and a style of operation which ensures broad understanding and capabilities in these areas across the unit. These challenges are met by a unit with the structure and agility to cope with the varying requirements of the student and academic life cycles.
The Customer & Curriculum Operations Unit is led and managed by one Director, with management support of four Unit Managers. Broadly speaking, the Unit Managers represent the complementary operations and support focuses of the Unit. (See https://www.ucd.ie/registry/aboutus/registrystaffandteamstructure/ for an overview of the current structure). These posts are posts within UCD Registry and are subject to such organisational change as may take place within UCD Registry over time. A Senior Executive Assistant in Customer & Curriculum Operations will use their administrative, communications, team abilities, organisational skills, and experience to support the delivery of quality services, events, and supports to the University community.
The successful candidate will work in the Customer & Curriculum Operations Unit. This work will involve supporting the accurate execution of important operational services and events e.g. organising and planning of conferring ceremonies, the provision of support and information for students, colleagues and third parties, data and query management, participation in the continuous improvement of unit processes, and contribution to the development of the unit. The successful candidate will also work closely with colleagues within Registry, across the university, and external stakeholders to include, for example, NUI, Gown Hire Services, Photography, Musicians, Medical Technicians, Caterers, Sign Language Interpreters, Digital Media Providers, etc. The Unit is managed by the Director of Customer & Curriculum Operations.
