The School of Health Sciences is part of a highly successful and vibrant faculty. We are leaders in the field of healthcare simulation, the University having  recently made significant investment resulting in our acclaimed and award winning Greenwich Learning and Simulation Centre (GLASC). Supported by our simulation strategy and resources, the school delivers a range of undergraduate and post graduate courses that lead to registration in nursing, midwifery, and allied health. We also have a wide portfolio of post qualifying provision including a MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, and a MSc in Interprofessional Healthcare Simulation. The School is introducing an undergraduate physiotherapy programme to its portfolio and looking to appoint an experienced physiotherapy educator.

The Post 

The post holder will work with our physiotherapy lead , employers and wider team to roll out our undergraduate physiotherapy programmes (including an apprenticeship offer). The programmes have been designed collaboratively with key stakeholders; the post holder  will work closely with our stakeholders on a continuing basis.  You will also have opportunity to participate in research and knowledge exchange activities coordinated by the Faculty’s Institute of Lifecourse Development (ILD). The ILD brings together researchers and practitioners from Health, Education and Human Sciences to tackle a range of lifecourse related issues, and has been instrumental in our recent success in the 2022 REF. 

The Person 

You will be an experienced physiotherapist with a back ground in education and or research  to teach across our pre-registration physiotherapy programme. You will have a passion for education, thrive on seeing students succeed, have ambition and an inquiring mind. You will have opportunity to complete a PGCHE and progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship, as well as contribute to faculty wide research and enterprise activities.  Opportunity also exists to undertake doctoral studies through a professional doctorate or PhD programme.
