The faculty is looking for an experienced, proactive and confident project officer to work on the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Arts and Humanities (AH) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA). This is an exciting and varied role which would suit someone who is able to thrive in a busy and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be able to multi-task and manage a varied workload, providing essential operational and project management support to the successful delivery of the AH IAA aims and objectives. The post-holder will act as the first point of contact for academics delivering funded IAA projects, and will work closely with the IAA Manager contributing to all activity streams of the IAA. In addition, the successful candidate will be confident preparing and analysing budget reports and financial spend, as well as providing support in a secretariat capacity to executive committees, and communicating with academics and providing support for them to develop research impact pathways. Familiarity with the production and promotion of online communications and resources will be helpful, as will previous experience organising and delivering events and engagement activities with stakeholders. Occasional evening, early morning and weekend work will be required to support some training programmes and events.

You will be familiar with and interested in the Higher Education research and impact agenda and the work of AHRC, and ideally have had previous experience with arts and humanities disciplines and/or engagement with research stakeholders. You will be able to develop relationships and manage communication with a wide range of internal and external audiences. You should possess good IT skills, including MS Office, and be familiar with or willing to learn the different University IT systems.

This is a fixed-term (funded until 31/03/2025) 0.5 FTE role with flexibility on working pattern and hours for the right candidate.
