Role Description

We welcome applications for this exciting new Research Fellow post from passionate, prospective candidates to join our team.

About the Role

This post will support the delivery of contract research on autonomous systems and more specifically on unmanned aerial systems within the Centre for Autonomous and Cyber-Physical Systems. In this role you will develop situational awareness solutions for a network system of multiple heterogeneous sensors in aerospace application.

About You

You will be educated to doctoral level (or close to completion) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. You will have experience of developing aerospace systems; sensor, data, and information fusion in various applications; and developing behaviour monitoring or anomaly detection algorithms based on machine learning. You will have substantial understanding of estimation theories, systems and control, optimisation and optimal control, and machine learning. You will be expected to deliver high quality publications and knowledge dissemination via effective written and oral communication skills.
