At the Faculty of Computer Science, Institute of Systems Architecture, the Junior Professorship in Computer Science, specifically Tactile Computing offers for the Cluster of Excellence Centre for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop (CeTI) a position as
Research Associate / PhD Student (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
starting as soon as possible. The position is limited until December 31, 2025. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (e.g. PhD). Balancing family and career is an important issue. The Junior Professorship in Computer Science, specifically Tactile Computing conducts research in the fields of model-based design, quality assurance and explainability of intelligent cyber-physical systems and self-adaptive systems. In particular, new algorithms and models will be developed to enable optimal and safe human-machine collaboration through mutual adaptation: systems should adapt to humans and situations, and provide appropriate explanations to enable users to assess and adapt to the system behaviour. Requirements: university degree (Dipl., M.Sc.) in computer science, mathematics or a related discipline; knowledge of at least one of the above-mentioned research areas and their theoretical foundations; good English skills and very good scientific writing skills; structured, reliable and independent working.
