Job Details
The Department of Music at the University of Manchester invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Music Performance Studies, tenable from 1 September 2023 (or as soon as possible thereafter). You will hold or be close to completing a PhD degree (or similar qualification) or have equivalent professional experience. You will be a committed and versatile teacher and will play a key role in delivering teaching and assessment for our new Masters pathway in Performance Studies (to be launched in September 2023). You will serve as Course Unit Director for a Masters module in Professional and Pedagogical Skills and will also contribute teaching to other units on our Masters and undergraduate programmes. You will help oversee student ensembles, participating actively where appropriate in their direction. You will take the lead in coordinating instrumental and vocal tuition within the Department and contribute to its broader management as required.
This job is available as two 0.5 positions or as a single 1.0 position for a suitably qualified candidate.
