Job Description
Ensuring Resilient and Sustainable Supply Evaluation for Humanitarian Organisations
Project summary
The Logistics and Supply Chain Management team in the SUSS School of Business is seeking qualified Research Fellow to participate in a study of “Ensuring Resilient and Sustainable Supply Evaluation for Humanitarian Organisations”. The approach to this study will be through primary data collection, interviews, surveys and empirical analysis using suitable tools. The intent of the study is to enhance supplier evaluation and performance measurement in the humanitarian sector. The project is scheduled to run for two years.
Job Scope
We have an opening for Research Fellow (Logistics and Supply Chain Management). The selected applicant is expected to work in a multidisciplinary team and pursue high-quality research in the broad areas of humanitarian procurement, including but not limited to using multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) or multiple-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) tools, supplier evaluation concepts, business resilience and sustainability principles, etc. The Research Fellow is expected to conduct both qualitative and quantitative methods to collect valuable primary data through interview and surveys as well as conduct data analysis to produce realistic solutions.
Job Requirements
- Qualification/ Experience Required
- Possess a Ph.D. from a recognised university in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
- Research experience in multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) or multiple-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) tools is preferred
- Good technical proposal writing and interpersonal commuication skills
- Able to plan and organize well and adhere to deadlines
- Able to perform research in a multidisciplinary team
