About the Role

The role of the Group Programs Administrator is to manage the administration of the Group English Programs delivered by Swinburne College.

This is a newly created role to assist with the growing needs of the College and an exciting opportunity to make the role your own.  Be at the ground level and support Swinburne College with the day-to-day administration and provide guidance to its student cohort on the varying activities and events available to them.

To be successful in this role you will require excellent interpersonal communication, cross-cultural and negotiation skills. As you will regularly communicating with international stakeholders, being proficient in a relevant second language (Korean or Japanese) would be highly advantageous. 

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in administering programs or projects, including financial management and preparation of relevant plans and other documentation.
  • Broad knowledge of Australian educational systems and frameworks, especially ELICOS, and of government policy regulating education exports and the international student experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, cross-cultural and negotiation skills. 
  • Demonstrated experience in the Australian tertiary education system, including an understanding of the international student journey.

Qualifications

A degree or diploma in business, project management or administration, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

About Swinburne College

Swinburne College was established in 2020 as a joint venture partnership between Swinburne University of Technology and UP Education to deliver a range of pathway programs for both international and domestic students. These programs (Foundation Year, UniLink Diplomas, ELICOS, Postgraduate Qualifying Program) assist students to reach the entry requirements for a university degree, transition from post-secondary to higher education or improve English language skills.

Pathway program teachers are responsible for inspiring, engaging and educating our students for the 21st century, implementing industry best practice and applying current learning technologies and contemporary learning pedagogies.
