Research Fellow (RF MEMS Switches; MEMS Tunable Phase Array; MEMS Antennas)

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified candidate with hands-on experience in design and fabrication of tunable switches and filters operating in the MW and THz frequency; hands-on experience in MEMS switches; strong expertise in the surface micromachining and thin film template transferring; System level knowledge in the millimeter wave circuits design 
 
The daily tasks include:

• Take responsibility for the concept, design, analysis, simulation, fabrication and testing of MEMS Switches
• Take responsibility for the concept, design, analysis, simulation, fabrication and testing of MW and THz based Tunable Phase Array 
• Take responsibility for development of fabrication process
• Take responsibility for mask layout by L-Edit
• Write journal papers
• Provide support to a team of engineers, FYP students and master students.

Qualifications

• Minimally possess a PhD in RF MEMS field
• Strong publications achieved so far are the criteria for selecting the successful candidates
• Hands-on experience in Surface Micromachined MEMS design and fabrication
• Hands-on experience in Piezoelectric actuation mechanism and electrostatic actuation mechanism
• Hands-on experience in simulation of millimeter wave circuits
• Doing research in a multidisciplinary team.
• Open to fixed-term contract
