- Exciting opportunity for a specialist in Health and Wellbeing to drive wellbeing and mental health initiatives across the University
- Base salary $129,847 plus 17% Superannuation
About the opportunity
The Senior Specialist- Health and Wellbeing will provide sector leading Health and Wellbeing advice, guidance, and support across all aspects of the University's operations and academic activities. With the support of an experienced Manager, the senior specialist will support the implementation an ambitious Health and Wellbeing program, targeting University staff. As an expert, the senior specialist will lead end-to-end health and wellbeing projects and strategies that engage staff and leaders at all levels and deliver continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- provide expert Health and Wellbeing support through the implementation of programs and projects, tailored to a range of audiences
- engage and collaborate with leaders to identify areas of improvement and design and deliver strategies that support employee health and wellbeing
- develop and communicate health and wellbeing policies, services, procedures and programs
- provide coaching and mentoring on areas of expertise that build health and wellbeing literacy across the University
- work closely with leaders and staff to share leading practice and educate staff about the University's health and wellbeing offerings
About you

- extensive experience with Health and Wellbeing strategies in large complex organisations
- experience in strategies and studies relating to psychology and health and wellbeing
- knowledge of Mental Health First Aid Training
- knowledge NSW H&S legislation as it applies to occupational health and wellbeing
- a high level of stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes
- proven project management experience ensuring key priorities, outcomes and metrics are clearly defined to deliver continuous improvement initiatives
- excellent written and verbal communication skills and significant experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, presenting to groups and facilitating workshops.
