Job Description

The Teaching & Learning Centre is seeking a Research Associate with expertise in quantitative research methods. The candidate will work with other researchers to evaluate the efficacy of an adaptive-enabled learning system prototype developed in-house for students in SUSS.

Job Scope

• Curate research publications and do literature review
• Write research papers to communicate findings
• Collect, process and analyse data, and make suitable recommendations
• Prepare, maintain and provide ready access to data and reports (e.g., reports for funding agency)
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with research participants as necessary (e.g., to collect vouchers) and replying to emails
• Prepare financial reimbursements for participants
• Manage and attend project-related meetings
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the PI

Job Requirements

Qualification/ Experience Required

• Experience using robust research methods, data preparation/processing/management, and advanced analytics to understand relationships among variables with a high level of independence
• Experience with interpreting the meaning of data/results of analyses and translating/applying findings into solutions for research questions
• Experience with communicating research to various audiences (e.g., publications, presentations)
• Able to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
• Able to maintain a high level of efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Able to solve complex problems in creative ways
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications (e.g., in Education, Educational Sciences, Social Sciences)
