Job Description:

Applications are invited for the post of Project Associate-I for the sponsored project funded by Grant-in-aid Scheme of the Department of Health Research, Government of India to the VIT School of Bio-Science and Technology (SBST), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, T.N, India.

Title of the Project:

“DNA methylation and its associated gene expression signatures in treatment outcomes of Schizophrenia”

Qualification:

Master’s Degree in Life Science/Biological Sciences/Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent with strong academic record.

Desirable (if any):

The candidate should have experience in Basic Molecular biology techniques, Real time PCR/Sequencing. Experience in the area of Next Generation Sequencing data analysis will be given preference. Working knowledge of R/Linux/Python is desirable though not mandatory.

UGC/CSIR/ JRF/LS/GATE qualification is desirable.

Stipend:

Rs. 31,000/- per month + 9 % HRA/ month
