The American Indian Studies Department is accepting applications for its pool of part-time and temporary lecturers to teach across the undergraduate curriculum in the following specializations:
- Introduction to American Indian Studies
- Writing and Rhetoric
- U.S. History from an Indigenous Perspective
- California Indian Communities
- Federal Indian Law, Tribal Gaming, Indigenous Political Systems, Indigenous Economic Development
Qualifications
Candidates should have earned a Bachelor's degree in American Indian Studies, Ethnic Studies, or a related field, or have a minor or concentration in American Indian Studies. Candidates should be familiar with decolonizing methodologies to pedagogy and scholarship. Candidates should have experience with the field of Ethnic Studies.
Preferred Qualifications Desired
Master's or Ph.D. in American Indian or Ethnic Studies or a related degree.

Compensation
The salary schedule information for the Lecturer - 12 month Classification is available based on the following ranges:
Lecturer A (Range 2 ) - $5,168 - 6,946
Lecturer B (Range 3) - $6,190 - 13,797
Lecturer C (Range 4) - $7,102 - 15,145
Lecturer D (Range 5) - $8,964 - 15,864
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
