Come and work in UEL's interprofessional simulation and immersive technology team, teach some of the most diverse and dynamic healthcare students, and help shape our future East End healthcare professionals.
Following the appointment of Vice-Chancellor & President, Professor Amanda Broderick, the university has committed to a mission to advance Industry 4.0 careers and lives, where we expand mental wealth, create careers, build business, and connect communities in East London and beyond, through our global gateway. A transformational strategic route-map has been launched, plotting our course to become the pioneering Careers-led university for changing the world, where the future of learning and work is advanced today and potential is realised whenever and wherever it is found.
The range of departments highlights the range of courses on offer within the school and we are proud to work collaboratively with our NHS partners to look at new ways of working. Due to this, the school is one of the leading organisations for developing courses that lead to new roles in healthcare, including the nursing associate role and deployment. The school is currently growing and will expand with the development of Occupational Therapy, Advanced Clinical Practice and Physicians Associate, as well as bespoke CPD programmes. The simulation facilities are currently undergoing a redesign and therefore are recruiting interpersonal staff who are registered healthcare professionals. This will enable the school to develop an interpersonal team to enable highly effective simulation and skills teaching, which prepares students for the interpersonal roles they will be embarking on.
At UEL, we work with several local leading trust partners who offer innovative placement experiences that span both physical and mental wealth. The professional programmes at UEL thrive on the supportive partnership relationship with practice partners across the communities of East London and serves to support the health and social care needs of the local population. As well as local partners, UEL has a close relationship with Health Education England and works with the local strategic workforce boards to ensure that programmes at UEL are representative of local workforce needs.
A successful candidate will have experience working in Higher Education simulation or simulation in NHS settings, a detailed understanding of clinical simulation, experience of setting up simulation settings for interprofessional learning and development, and have a collaborative nature, with experience working as part of a small team, supporting others in dealing with peaks in demand.
So, if you’d like to take your career to the next level with us here at the University of East London and are inspired by our environment and drive for success, we want you to apply today!
