We have an exciting opportunity available for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join the Clinical Psychology Training Programme at the University of Surrey, to cover a maternity leave post. The Surrey PsychD Programme has seen an increase in training places over the past few years, due to increased HEE funding, meaning this post provides a unique opportunity to join at a time of growth and innovation. We welcome applications from Psychologists with expertise across a variety of clinical or research settings, to contribute broadly to the programme. Areas of interest may include, but are not limited to, Neuropsychology, Older Adults, Learning Disabilities, Health Psychology and Community Psychology. We seek to appoint Psychologists who strive to address social justice, inequalities and under-served communities.

The Clinical Psychology Team are a welcoming, innovative and cohesive group with a wide variety of clinical and research interests. The programme sits within the Department of Psychological Interventions within the School of Psychology. The School has an outstanding reputation for applied psychology training and research. You will be joining a vibrant Department with an active research culture.

We are keen to appoint a Clinical Researcher who works well as a member of a team, and is passionate about developing the clinical competencies of our Trainee Clinical Psychologists. All post-holders must hold a clinical doctorate in psychology, or equivalent, and will be expected to contribute directly to evaluation of clinical competencies, develop link with local NHS Trusts, and contribute towards teaching and learning, in addition to day-to-day administrative tasks of the programme. In addition to the salary, you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement, excellent development opportunities, and access to an on-site nursery.
