An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager/Manager/Senior Manager to join the Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC). 

TLC promotes excellence in teaching and learning through the design and implementation of innovative pedagogies; facilitation of faculty development and training; scholarship of teaching & learning; and provides academic support for students whilst developing lifelong learning attributes in our graduates.

Job Description

You will be proactive and crucial to the functions related to partnerships, organisational excellence, and communications. You will lead in the establishment and implementation of  frameworks and strategies applicable to building partnerships and organisational excellence. Part of this would require you to engage with various levels of stakeholders within and external to the university, with the aim to inspire excellence and enable success for teaching staff, students, and the wider community. Specific functions include:

• Leading and initiating strategic partnerships with university teaching staff as well as industry partners
• Leading the building of ties and engagement with stakeholders (e.g., teaching staff, students, industry partners) through purposeful communications/discussions that support TLC's strategic priorities
• Leading TLC's efforts in outreach (including collateral materials such as year-in-review reports, website) and organising events/activities (e.g., teaching and learning conferences, conversations, strategic planning/review retreats)
• Lead/co-lead with managers to develop/identify strategic priorities for TLC  
• Being the custodian for HR-related functions for TLC

Job Requirements

• Qualifications and experience relevant to communications, marketing and business development.
• Demonstrable experience in engaging multilevel stakeholders professionally
• Proven ability to keep abreast of developments in the education/training industry with the view to foster innovations
• Demonstrable experience in leading the building of partnerships
• Proven ability in leading the production of impactful communication materials 
• Have a collegial and collaborative approach to work
• Good time management
• Mature and meticulous
• Pleasant disposition with a high level of integrity
• Effective interpersonal skills with excellent command of written and spoken English
• Experience with web development and digital marketing
