- Opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to provide general support to the Education Programme for student placements, part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health
- Base Salary (Pro-Rata) $73,751 - $77,926 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The University Centre for Rural Health (UCRH) is a collaborative academic hub for rural health development, located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales and is a joint venture between the University of Sydney, Western Sydney University and the University of Wollongong and operates in close collaboration with the Northern NSW Local Health Network and all providers of health services on the NSW North Coast.
The UCRH education program encompasses the disciplines of Allied Health, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry and Medicine, providing students with clinical placement opportunities and structured learning programs in a multi-disciplinary environment, and an immersion in the elements of rurality and social equity.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- work closely with the Manager (Medical Education), Medical Program Coordinator, Education Support Officers, students, and various internal and external stakeholders
- respond to enquiries online, by phone and in person from students, staff and members of the public
- provide administrative support for students and staff to enable successful clinical placements
- draft standard documents, record keeping, typing, updating web materials, arranging staff travel, assisting with organising events, and responding to routine queries
- participate in UCRH administration support community of practice
About you
- experience working in a similar position providing administrative support to a team
- hold the ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work
- numeracy skills together with experience in reconciling purchases
- strong verbal and written communications skills including the ability to compose promotional materials, take accurate meeting minutes along with a professional demeanour
- hold advanced computer skills, including competency in Microsoft Office Suite
- working knowledge of software programs such as Records Management and Content Management systems.
