The University of Southampton Clinical Informatics Research Unit (CIRU) is based at Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust. The unit is a growing part of the medical school. This role is part of a unit of >30 staff  and the successful applicant will be working within a small team to deliver eCRF solutions.

We have a vacancy for an eCRF Programmer, to undertake work in further developing an existing solution we provide as part of the Clinical Informatics Research Unit. The applicant should have a knowledge of clinical trials and be an experienced eCRF programmer with proven skills in design and development of eCRF’s in a variety of systems.

The successful applicant must, as a minimum, have experience of working with eCRF solutions in a clinical environment. This should include working on a full project delivery cycle, from trial design and development to delivery and reporting.

Other skills that would be advantageous include a working knowledge of relational databases, source control and general programming theory.

The applicant should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in clinical trials and eCRF development. They should also show initiative and creativity that can bring new ideas and approaches to our software.
