We are now looking to appoint a new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) to provide academic leadership across the university, working in close collaboration with the Vice-Chancellor. The DVC will have line-management responsibility for the University Pro Vice-Chancellors and School Deans and work to enhance performance and coherence across the University’s academic provision while fostering innovation and excellence in all that we do. 

Strong candidates for this role will bring a proven track record of strategic academic leadership in a context of relevant complexity and scale, with experience of driving change and improvement in a collaborative culture. They will also need to demonstrate the ability to operate confidently at a cross-institutional level, combining vision and strategic thinking with pragmatism and drive to deliver results. 
With a record of academic achievement that lends them the necessary credibility across the University, strong candidates will also bring outstanding communication and relationship-building skills to enable them to lead in a collegiate way.
