Applications are invited for appointment as Full-time/Part-time Curriculum Development Officer (at the rank of Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer) in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 519659), to commence as soon as possible until August 31, 2023, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Education, or a Bachelor’s degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or equivalent, with at least 5 years’ teaching experience in local primary and/or secondary schools or equivalent. They should also have a good command of written and spoken Chinese, and experience in IT applications and Chinese computer operations. Preference will be given to those who have experience in teaching multicultural students. Applicants with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment at the rank of Assistant Lecturer.

The appointee will be responsible for coordinating with schools and the project team to develop the content of website; facilitating different stakeholders to build up the online community; liaising with Principal Investigator and project team to develop online training and related materials; supervising Research Assistants to provide research and administrative support for the project (such as data collection and data processing of pre/post-test, conducting interviews with stakeholders, developing online materials, etc.); writing up reports and performing other duties as assigned.
