We have an exciting new opportunity to join our Research Finance team in the position of Research Accountant.
This role will be responsible for the financial administration of a portfolio of research grants and contracts and will provide financial advice and information to Principal Investigators (PIs) in the management of their awards and contracts.
You will also be responsible for contributing information towards the production of all management information, data and analysis required to support the University’s budgeting, planning and forecasting processes in respect of the grants and awards in your portfolio.
You will be responsible for the Line Management of Assistant Research Accountants & Research Administrators.
You will represent the University in dealings with external sponsors including production of claims and periodic reporting and will co-ordinate any audit requirements arising from grants under their administration. The role requires engagement with PIs, Business Finance Managers, University management and other finance/administrative staff in the provision of advice and guidance around the management of individual grants and the financial impact of the performance of awards in the portfolio.
