Job description

Teaching and research activities to obtain a doctoral thesis (PhD).

The person hired will have to provide assistance in the field of nutrition, pharmacology, pharmacotherapy and pharmaceutical care, related to the teaching of Professors S. Pochet and C. De Vriese and according to the requirements of the faculty pedagogical coordination. The candidate will also have to carry out various logistical activities related to the Unit and the Faculty of Pharmacy. In research, (s)he will have to undertake a doctoral thesis. The doctoral research will concern the improvement of an interdisciplinary intervention involving a connected health device to increase adherence in asthma and COPD and to enable therapeutic patient monitoring. The feasibility and effectiveness of the intervention will be evaluated in an implementation study with patients and health professionals such as doctors, pharmacists, physiotherapists, nurses, etc. The parameters influencing the implementation of such a connected health device in the paediatric asthma population in Belgium and in the COPD population will be identified.
