The Education Department is seeking to recruit individuals who have a genuine passion and strong track record in the enhancement and innovation of learning, teaching and assessment in a higher education setting.  It is an exciting time to join the University as it progresses its Education Strategy 2021 – 2025, and develops a new institutional Aston 2030 Strategy.

The University’s commitment to providing all learners with a high quality, ‘best in class’ academic student experience is signified by its investment in these important new roles.  Digital pedagogies, authentic assessment and blended and hybrid models of delivery and assessment are key areas of focus for these posts, and successful candidates will be able to evidence their knowledge, understanding and expertise in these areas.  Joining existing Academic Practice and Technology-Enhanced Learning teams within the University’s central Education Department, this new role will contribute to the realisation of Aston’s vision for learning and teaching.

You will have:
A strong track record of administering and providing effective technical support for a virtual learning environment within an FE/HE setting.

Evidence of providing effective and efficient technical support for lecture recording systems / platforms.
Provided quality technical support for other digital systems/platforms including learner analytics systems.

Experience of investigating and evaluating emerging technologies and innovations, especially in the area of online and blended learning and of effectively communicating those opportunities to the rest of the team/department/University.
