The Education Department is seeking to recruit individuals who have a genuine passion and strong track record in the enhancement and innovation of learning, teaching and assessment in a higher education setting.  It is an exciting time to join the University as it progresses its Education Strategy 2021 – 2025, and develops a new institutional Aston 2030 Strategy. 

The University’s commitment to providing all learners with a high quality, ‘best in class’ academic student experience is signified by its investment in these important new roles.  Digital pedagogies, authentic assessment and blended and hybrid models of delivery and assessment are key areas of focus for these posts, and successful candidates will be able to evidence their knowledge, understanding and expertise in these areas.  Joining existing Academic Practice and Technology-Enhanced Learning teams within the University’s central Education Department, this new role will contribute to the realisation of Aston’s vision for learning and teaching.

You will have: 
Provided effective support for academic staff and students in the application of learning technologies in Higher Education.

Up-to-date knowledge of how learning technologies and systems can be effectively deployed to enhance and innovate pedagogic practice.

Up-to-date knowledge of a wide range of digital tools, learning technologies and key systems as well as their associated affordances for supporting learning, teaching and assessment in Higher Education.
