University Assistant (Pre Doc) Rotating Internship in Equine Veterinary Medicine

Our internship is a 12-months postgraduate training program suitable for recently qualified veterinarians. Interns work in all areas of the hospital and are responsible for assisting admissions, evaluation and treatment of in-patients and providing high-level ongoing patient care under the supervision of senior clinicians, in and out of hours. In addition interns participate in hospital and stable rounds as well as in seminars and are involved in the supervision and assistance of undergraduate veterinary students whilst on their clinical rotations. Our internship provides a suitable foundation for most equine post-graduate specialist qualifications and excellent training for general or specialist equine practice. The selection of suitable candidates for our internship is made on the basis of academic achievement, letters of recommendation, interpersonal skills, clinical skills and pertinent experience.
