About the position

This position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a School that has an outstanding reputation for teaching and research excellence, for research translation and for building strong relationships with industry.

The appointee will be recognised nationally and internationally as a contributor to the development of business analytics or the profession. They will demonstrate leadership in curriculum development, coordinate and deliver courses and subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in business analytics. They are expected to foster excellence in teaching and learning and play a key role in assuring the quality of the academic programs and facilitating student success within the School.  The appointee will also undertake high impact research in business analytics and published in ABDC A*, A and Top 10% Q1 ranked journals, develop successful external research income applications and promote links between the School and industry. Applicants with industry experience and engagement will be considered highly.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have an excellent record in leading curriculum development and other learning and teaching initiatives in Business Analytics with specific focus on disciplines within the school, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  Have a sustained track record of publishing in high quality journals (specifically, ABDC A*, A and top 10% Q1 journals) and an ability to attract external research funding is also critical to this role.  The successful candidate will possess excellent academic administration skills and have a proven ability to develop and mentor junior Faculty.  Strong industry engagement skills will also be highly regarded.  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collegially are also key requirements of this role.
