Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT

At Flinders NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory.  We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, and the University Department of Rural Health.

Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program), provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SA+NT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce.  All activities are driven by our values which focus on the long-term and short-term needs of the NT community.

About the Role

The Flinders University Rural and Remote Health team are currently recruiting a Marketing and Communications Officer to join their team at either their Darwin or Alice Springs offices.

Under broad direction, the Marketing and Communication Officer is responsible to contribute and assist the development and implementation of communication and media strategies, develop project plans and campaigns. The role requires the successful individual to work with internal functions/units to finalise briefs, assign projects to internal and external teams that deliver outcomes in line with Rural and Remote Health.

About You

As the ideal candidate, you will have completed a degree in Communications, Media Studies, Marketing or a related discipline with subsequent relevant experience. You will have demonstrated experience in writing, editing and proof-reading content for online channels tailored to diverse audiences.

Additionally, you will have knowledge of CMS platform and CRM tool, as well as an understanding of Adobe Experience Manager and Wordpress. You will be responsible for liaising with subject matter experts to produce/source dynamic, engaging multimedia content including photography, film, animation, and other digital assets for repurposing across print and digital channels.

Finally, you will possess the ability to connect and work with a range of stakeholders including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, industry, government, and other external organizations, while positively contributing to the social vision of Flinders University and Rural and Remote Health NT.
