Working as part of the Experiential Learning team (soon to form part of the new Careers and Employability Service) within Student Skills and Success, the employability and skill development coordinator will be responsible for enhancing the provision of experiential learning for Maynooth University students, with the ultimate aim of augmenting their skill development, employability and career readiness. This will be achieved by collaborating with relevant Maynooth University (MU) departments and developing sustainable relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders to align and coordinate experiential opportunities with student and institutional needs.

In order to enable students successfully navigate the transition from student to employee, or onto further study, the employability and skill development coordinator will develop relevant learning resources to complement a suite of experiential learning experiences. The post holder will be responsible alongside the wider team for the delivery of existing experiential learning programmes together with promoting student employability and skill development and offering consultancy within departments alongside a wider team of professionals within the Careers Service and Placement Office.  

Administrative Officer II (2022) Salary Scale:  €41,317 – €59,152 p.a. (9 points)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
