Applications are invited for the post of Analytical Technician in the School of Science.  The post holder will support work within the Electron Microscopy and Analytical X-ray Unit.  Tasks will include operation and maintenance of specialist equipment (SEM/XRD/XRF and confocal microscopy), assisting in research projects and training staff, students and visitors in specialist techniques.

Applicants for this post will be educated to degree level in a science related subject and have some experience of working with either imaging or analytical x-ray equipment. Training will be provided where necessary. Good time management and the ability to learn new techniques quickly are important.

The post is available immediately and is fixed term, there is likelihood of extension to 1 year.
