Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Project Management - REQ002016

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Project Management to provide inspirational academic leadership within the Engineering Division of the School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences. Project Management is one of our most popular and growing programme areas within the Division of Engineering at the London campus and we are looking to enhance our current developments in sustainability in project management / green project management.

We welcome applications from experienced academics who can enhance our local, national and international profile.  As a line manager, you will demonstrate a leadership capability in the subject area and will be expected to contribute to operational leadership roles within the Division aligned to the School’s growth objectives and ambitions. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, influence change and will contribute to the on-going expansion of the portfolio as well as to the commercialisation activities of the Division exhibiting an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset.

The successful candidate will be based at our London Campus.  Willingness to travel is an essential aspect of this post, between campuses and both within the UK and internationally.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • An Engineering or related Undergraduate Degree.
  • Relevant postgraduate/PhD qualification or equivalent qualification in a project management/environmental management related discipline.
  • Experience of leading learning, teaching and assessment within Higher Education
  • A Postgraduate qualification in education/learning and teaching and Advance HE Fellowship are highly desirable.
  • Appropriate evidence of external engagement in line with the School’s research and enterprise strategy, able to demonstrate a research track record of publications, funding and esteem in one of the School’s research themes.
  • Demonstrable experience of sharing good practice, hybrid delivery of learning and teaching and use of authentic/real-world assessment approaches.
