We are looking for a Partnerships Manager to join our team in UK. This is an amazing opportunity to help expand university participation in the ProQuest Master’s and PhD Theses dissemination program among universities in UK / Europe. As a Partnerships Manager you will partner with sales to promote the holistic message and value prop of ProQuest Dissertation & Theses Global (PQDT Global) to increase subscription penetration worldwide. This role will report to the Senior Director, Partnerships.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

Master’s degree
-
6 years of previous working experience within the Publishing industry in a product or business development role

Experience of academic research and writing

Experience in selling and/or business development in the university sector and with high level leaders in the academy.

Experience in academic dean’s office or similar university administration
-
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills

Fluency in additional languages a plus

Ability to travel nationally and internationally.
What will you be doing in this role?
-
Responsible for closing targeted accounts for full-text dissertations and theses content submission into PQDT through whatever method the customer chooses through webinars, email and in-person visits to campuses, primarily in Europe.

Serves the graduate and library communities in supporting Dissertations and Theses submission in the PQDT database by:
-
Providing expertise on use and importance of ETD Administrator tool
-
Providing expertise on alternative content acquisition with use of Harvesting
-
Effectively communicates value of implementing and using PQDT products to customers as required

Work collaboratively with Sales to achieve the PQDT revenue target through a combined “holistic message” of PQDT subscription and dissertation submission

Supports Senior Director and AMs in strategic account planning for premiere accounts

Supports the Senior Director in customer success programs and outreach to ensure satisfaction of chosen submission method (ETD Admin, harvesting or other)

New Customer Acquisition:
-
Expand university / graduate school adoption of the ProQuest Dissertations Dissemination Master’s and Doctoral Degree services via the ProQuest ETD Administrator or via Harvesting

Working with the Sales team, identify stakeholders and arrange meetings to present the holistic messaging around submissions / subscriptions.

Customer Retention:

Retain the current European customer base.

Maintain, develop and cultivate personal relationships with White Glove Accounts

Execute customer success plan with internal and external stakeholders.

External Relations:

Support efforts to enhance the Dissertation Publishing program's relationships with the graduate dean organizations, research councils, ministries, influential academics, national repositories, academic consortia and others.

Build and cultivate a network of thought leaders within the international graduate school and library community that can shape market opinion and inform ProQuest strategy and execution.

Prepare white papers; publish articles and take visible public stance at industry conferences to promote the full range of ProQuest services.

Hours of Work
This is a full-time Hybrid, permanent position . It is expected that hours will be normal business hours, with occasional meetings with colleagues in other regions.
