Position overview

The Planning and Service Performance Division has a number of intern positions to assist in the broader planning and service performance objectives of the University. Our division integrates five key streams of interrelated work and takes a leading role in providing data for evidence-based decision making throughout the University whilst creating a culture of continuous improvement and delivering client focussed services.

The internships are 12 months fixed term part time positions of 20 hours per week with the opportunity to develop critical workplace skills in the following areas:

Key responsibilities

Interns will be mentored, coached and supported through a positive learning experience with work assigned relevant to current studies including:

  • Data validation and analysis
  • Business analysis, testing and technical writing
  • Human centred design
  • Software configuration and development
  • Survey design, deployment and results, and
  • Benchmarking and global rankings
  • Office administration

  • An eagerness to learn through exposure to a variety of tasks and projects
  • A fast and flexible approach to problem solving
  • An eye for detail
  • Previous work experience
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage working part-time whilst maintaining studies
