We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals in various areas of policing and law enforcement education. Applicants with teaching and/or curriculum design experience are sought to teach and undertake subject development in the Associate Degree in Policing Practice.

Utilising the resources of both a large residential police academy and a responsive and progressive university, the successful candidate (s) will be required to engage and teach students through face-to-face and online delivery modes whilst dedicating workload to professional Industry liaison, and maintaining sound relationships with industry agencies at the NSW Police Force Academy in Goulburn, NSW.

Staff will be enrolled in the fee-free postgraduate course, the Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (GCLTHE). This formal award allows Charles Sturt academic staff the opportunity to undertake professional development for academic probation purposes, and to strengthen learning and teaching theory and practice, and embed Charles Sturt values, policies, systems and frameworks.

To be successful you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or industry background in policing, teaching, curriculum design or a combination of all.
  • Willingness to undertake annual field placement as part of ongoing development.
  • Commitment to building strong professional relationships internally and externally
