The appointee will be responsible to lead and oversee the operation of the Teaching and Learning Centre. Reporting to the Associate Vice-President (Academic Quality Assurance and Internationalisation), the appointee is expected to provide leadership in all areas of teaching and learning and give advice to the senior management on matters related to institutional benchmarking and ranking. He/She will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including both faculties and administrators, to support the implementation of outcome-based approach to teaching and learning (OBATL) and criterion-referenced assessment at the University. Other major duties include implementing programme and curriculum reviews; conducting quality assurance reviews; developing and disseminating effective pedagogies and good practices in teaching and learning; promoting the scholarship of teaching and learning; providing professional development opportunities and activities for teaching staff; and evaluating student learning experiences.

Requirements

Applicants should have (i) a master’s degree or doctorate in educational leadership or a related discipline; (ii) a demonstrated knowledge and expertise in outcome-based teaching and learning, student assessment, pedagogical design, education technology, and curriculum and teaching development; (iii) a proven record of relevant leadership experience in the field of higher education; (iv) outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; and (v) strong organizational, problem-solving and presentation skills.  Knowledge of the application of digital and online technology to teaching and learning in a liberal arts context is a must.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

The commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
