The Information Governance team is a recently formed function within the Governance, Legal and Strategy Implementation Directorate, with an exciting remit to strengthen and improve the University’s Information Governance framework and to support ongoing compliance with information legislation. As a new department we have the opportunity to form and influence new policies, procedures and guidance to support the University’s activities.

We now have an exciting opportunity in Information Compliance (assurance) to support the broader work of the team and to work closely with areas of the University, in particular, on their activities in relation to data asset ownership, management and record keeping.

As a member of the team, you will demonstrate the ability to build strong, productive relationships with a diverse stakeholder group – including academic and research staff, heads of the University’s professional services functions and key external suppliers and partners.

You should have previous experience of working in information compliance, governance and the legislation that underpins it, including ideally, the NHS and associated record management guidance such as the Caldicott Principles.
