One ERC-funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Synthetic Immunology at the University of Padova, Italy.
Our lab investigates the interactions between antigen presenting cells and T cells, with the goal of defining the cellular and molecular determinants shaping the T cell response. But instead of approaching this problem with traditional methods, we apply novel chemical-biology based tools capable of revealing cell-cell communication both in vitro and in living animals (Pasqual et al., Nature 2018; Chudnovskiy et al., Current Opinion in Immunology 2019).
The lab is part of the University of Padova, a dynamic and stimulating multidisciplinary research environment home of more than 2000 scientists distributed across 20 scientific departments. Our institute is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including imaging resources, NGS platforms, high biosafety containment animal facility, and advanced flow cytometry. Proteomic facilities are available in neighboring institutes. Our research also benefits of a network of international collaborators located in leading institution in Europe and US.
We offer (i) the opportunity to conduct innovative research using a multidisciplinary approach which combines chemical and molecular biology with in vivo immunology and mouse genetics; (ii) solid funding conditions which will provide long-term support of our research activity; (iii) a competitive salary as well as tax benefits according to the Italian law.
How to apply
If you are interested in the position and want to know more about the lab please send a pre-submission inquiry with your CV, two reference letters and a summary of your research interests to Giulia Pasqual (giulia.pasqual@unipd.it)
