The Sharir lab has an opening for a passionate Ph.D. student. Our lab aims to understand how the integration of signaling pathways and mechanical cues regulates various aspects of bone and tooth development and regeneration. We use several different model organisms as well as a variety of genetic, molecular, imaging and biomechanical techniques to study the fundamental biology of stem cells in bones and teeth with the ultimate goal of applying this knowledge towards developing stem cell-based regenerative therapies.
