Job description

The job entails activities that are equally divided between teaching and research. The candidate will assist the course instructors with teaching (supervision of courses and exercises, grading) and will pursue a doctoral thesis project.

The candidate will supervise a series of courses on communication, multilingualism, and research methodologies in these domains. He or she will be responsible for the pedagogical supervision of theoretical courses on communication research methods and approaches, particularly in discourse analysis and semiotics. In addition to these pedagogical tasks, the candidate will also be required to participate in the evaluation of examinations and assignments carried out in the framework of these courses, as well as of internships in multilingual communication. The teaching tasks will be related to the communication courses in general, and multilingual communication more specifically.

In addition, the candidate is expected to conduct research for a doctoral thesis on a topic related to the themes of the Research Centre in Information and Communication Sciences (ReSIC), preferably in discourse analysis related to multiculturalism. The presentation of a thesis project is therefore highly recommended in the application file.
