The Department of Chemistry at cole Polytechnique offers a full-time Assistant Professor or Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in Solid state / Materials, Chemistry, to start on September 1st, 2023.

Candidates must hold a doctorate and proof of outstanding capacities in research and teaching associated with a broad culture in chemical sciences / materials sciences. International experience is strongly desired.

Candidates must be able to contribute at all teaching levels of the department (Bachelor, Polytechnic engineer cycle and Master), and to join the teaching teams for fundamental chemistry and more specialized courses. The ability to contribute to project-based teaching and to strengthen the links between teaching and research on issues with strong societal challenges will be assessed positively.

Candidates must present a project of settlement of their research activity within the research center of cole Polytechnique, targeting the field of the elaboration of functional materials through chemical routes.
