Do you have what it takes?

Interpersonal skills are the most vital for skills we are looking for in this HR Advisor role as you will have to work with a number of people at different levels across the business. Alongside a strong knowledge of HR systems, soft skills such as self-confidence and being persuasive are also important in this people-focused role.

Work in a place where your team values you and practices the following:

  • Leading by example.
  • Recognising and celebrating success.
  • Being consistently fair.
  • Being accountable to, and for, our workforce.
  • Striving for continuous improvement.
  • Encourage open and honest communication.

An opportunity has arisen for a confident and enthusiastic HR Advisor to join our HR team on a fixed term maternity cover.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will provide sound HR advice and guidance to managers on various employment issues, including disciplinary, capability, grievance, absence management and flexible working. You will also be responsible for managing the full range of HR processes including recruitment, contracts, fixed-term contract ends, immigration matters and managing all HR data and management reports.

You will have experience in a similar wide-ranging HR role with sound knowledge of UK employment law and good practice. You will be CIPD qualified. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships are key requirements for the role. Discretion and the ability to work unsupervised and to deadlines are essential.

We’ll also be looking for the ability to coach and develop managers and provide expert guidance on implementing HR policies and procedures.
