Job Description:
The School of Nursing & Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Assistant to cover a period of absence.
The successful candidate will be an active member of the research project/team assisting in the planning and delivery of research activity in the Northern Ireland Cerebral Palsy Register, so that the overall research objectives of the project are met. The job focus is on data collection and management, and patient and public involvement.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:
- 2:1 or above Degree or equivalent in subject relevant to research activity e.g. allied health, nursing, psychology
- A minimum of 1 year’s practical experience in collecting health-related data (quantitative) and in data entry and data management (using software such as Excel, SPSS or Stata).

This is a part-time (0.8 FTE) and fixed term position, available until 13 November 2023. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
